At A.G. Coombs, reconciliation is embedded in how we work with our people, partners and communities. Guided by our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) – Innovate, we are committed to strengthening respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and creating meaningful opportunities for learning, engagement and collaboration across our business.
Throughout National Reconciliation Week 2026, A.G. Coombs proudly hosted and participated in a series of activities across Australia, bringing together employees, clients and community partners to reflect, connect and continue the reconciliation journey together.
Creating Space for Learning and Connection
Across the week, A.G. Coombs sites hosted collective gatherings, including morning teas and coffee cart activations supported by Indigenous social enterprise Game Time Coffee. These moments provided welcoming and informal settings for teams to come together, supported by Acknowledgement and Welcome to Country ceremonies and cultural practices.
In parallel, education sessions and an organisation‑wide National Reconciliation Week webinar enabled broader participation and access to learning, ensuring employees across the business could engage regardless of location.
Partnerships That Amplify Impact
Collaboration remained a strong focus throughout National Reconciliation Week, aligning with this year’s theme, ‘All In’. Working closely with like‑minded organisations, including Cromwell Property Group, A.G. Coombs co‑hosted a reflection morning tea that reinforced shared commitments to reconciliation. Events like these created space for conversation, learning and connection, while recognising the important role organisations play when working together to drive lasting social impact.
Conversations That Matter
A highlight of the week was a National Reconciliation Week event hosted by A.G. Coombs at the Museum of Contemporary Art of where A.G. Coombs proudly maintains, bringing together employees and selected clients for meaningful conversation and reflection.
The program commenced with a Welcome to Country, followed by a panel discussion focused on reconciliation, leadership and collaboration. The panel was facilitated by Aaron Clark, A.G. Coombs Social Procurement, Inclusion & Engagement Leader, and featured Mark Champley (University of New South Wales), Glenn Johnston (Supply Nation) Sam Bertoni, A.G. Coombs Mechanical Plumber Apprentice, and Shane Edwards, A.G. Coombs Cultural Ambassador, who shared perspectives on community connection, accountability and the role organisations play in advancing reconciliation.
A.G. Coombs Managing Director, Russell Telford also addressed attendees, reflecting on A.G. Coombs Reconciliation Action Plan and reinforcing the importance of sustained, values‑led commitment.
To continue our education, participants were invited to take part in the Tribal Warrior Cultural Cruise Experience, deepening cultural understanding through connection on Sydney Harbour.
