National Tennis Centre
Major Projects Victoria engaged A.G. Coombs Advisory to undertake the LEED Commissioning Authority (CxA) role on its National Tennis Centre project.
As LEED CxA on this project, A.G. Coombs Advisory worked with Major Projects Victoria and services engineers WSP to target both LEED commissioning credits:
- EA Prerequisite 1 Fundamental Commissioning of Building Energy Systems.
- EA Credit 3 Enhanced Commissioning.
Undertaking the LEED CxA role incorporated the following:
- Early engagement as Commissioning Authority in order to document the Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR) prior to preparation of the Basis of Design (BOD) report by the services engineers.
- Review of the consultant’s Design Documentation during the schematic and design development phases of the project.
- Review of the subcontractor’s Design Documentation throughout construction.
- Developing and implementing the commissioning plan and maintaining consistency with the OPR and BOD reports.
- Documentation of the final commissioning reports.
- Developing the Systems Manual for use by the operations team.
- Implementing the Training Plan to ensure adequate transfer of knowledge from construction to operation.
- Involvement in the operational phase of the project.
