A former AFLW player, more recently a Recruiter and Assistant Coach for Richmond FC, Lauren Tesoriero also joined the A.G. Coombs Group as an Apprentice Mechanical Plumber in 2021 following interest to pursue a career in a trade. “I’ve always been interested in a trade, my friends growing up were all tradies, as well as my brothers, says Lauren.”
With a knowledge of A.G. Coombs through the Richmond FC partnership, Lauren found a pathway that led to helping secure her role as an Apprentice Mechanical Plumber.
As a celebration of International Women’s Day with this year’s theme being ‘Break the Bias’, we took the opportunity to speak with Lauren about her career as both a successful football player and coach, as well as her transition into a career in a trade with A.G. Coombs.
International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women while marking a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.
