Celebrating exceptional achievements at the 2024 A.G. Coombs Annual Dinner & Awards Night

November 1, 2024

Together we achieve the extraordinary – and that culture of strength and high performance was on full display at the 2024 A.G. Coombs Annual Dinner & Awards Night, held at Crown Palladium in Melbourne on 12 October.

The event is a standout on the A.G. Coombs Group of Companies’ annual calendar, bringing together over 1200 staff, partners and special guests to celebrate our unique company culture, recognise our proud history, core values, loyalty of our staff and the achievements of our young people including apprentices.

The night is a significant event providing the catalyst for all personnel across the A.G. Coombs Group of Companies to connect with each other and celebrate the year’s achievements.

It is also a major fundraiser. Together, we raised well over $100,000 on the night for Challenge – Supporting kids with cancer, our longstanding foundation charity.

Special recognition at the A.G. Coombs Awards Night goes out to the 2024 Allan Coombs Training Award winner, Aidan Carr and 2024 Young Achiever Award winner, Madeleine Johnson.

Aidan Carr began his career with A.G. Coombs as a mechanical plumbing apprentice in 2021. A quiet achiever, he is a trusted and reliable apprentice and a keen sportsman who plays, watches and coaches AFL and cricket. Aidan’s charity, Dying with Dignity Victoria will receive a significant donation as a component of his award.

Graduate Engineer Madeleine Johnson started with A.G. Coombs in 2021 and has a double degree in Mechanical Engineering (Honours) and Commerce. Sydney based and a member of our Graduate Engineer Program, she will be completing the A.G. Coombs Emerging Leaders Program later this year. Madeleine enjoys going to the gym, singing and playing. Her charity is Dementia Australia and it will also receive a significant donation in her name.
