The Future of HVAC 2023 conference is the most important conference for HVAC&R professionals in Australia.
A.G. Coombs is proud to be a supporting sponsor and welcomes everyone interested in, affected by, or influencing where the built environment is headed to attend.
This future-casting conference hosted by AIRAH at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on 13-14 Sep, explores the outlook for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning by looking at the drivers of change, some of which include:
Join Daniel Waack, A.G. Coombs Integrated Prefabrication Leader at the conference to hear his presentation titled “Offsite manufacturing – The future of building and building service?”.
“Building construction worldwide is moving offsite. Future buildings will likely be manufactured in components in large scale factories, transported to site and assembled — What does this mean for building services and building services design?” asks Daniel.
Daniel’s presentation will set out the current state of play and future trends for building services design and prefabrication in Australia, North America and the United Kingdom. Concepts including kit of parts and mass customisation will be explored, along with design for fabrication and assembly and platform design for manufacture and assembly. The standardisation of system elements that is emerging from these trends is fundamentally changing how the design process is applied to new buildings. It is opening the way for system design software algorithms and the application of adaptive AI to design, changing the role of engineers in the design process.
