September 16, 2025

A.G. Coombs congratulates Kerfoot Pty Ltd on winning a 2025 NECA NSW Excellence Award for their work on the Sydney Airport Terminal 3 Chiller and Cooling Tower Upgrade Project.

The award was presented at the NECA NSW Excellence Awards ceremony held on 22 Aug at Accor Stadium, Sydney Olympic Park. Kerfoot’s submission in the Commercial – Small category was recognised for its technical excellence, innovation and collaborative delivery.

Kerfoot was engaged by A.G. Coombs as the Mechanical Electrical subcontractor for the project, which involved the replacement of ageing infrastructure and integration of high-efficiency systems to support Sydney Airport’s sustainability and operational goals.

During the event, Josh Kerfoot, General Manager at Kerfoot acknowledged the contribution of the A.G. Coombs team, specifically recognising Michael Grayson, Patryk Dykas and the broader project group for their professionalism and collaborative approach.

This recognition by NECA further demonstrates the value of trusted partnerships and the strength of integrated building services delivery. The T3 upgrade was a technically demanding and rewarding project, showcasing the capabilities of both organisations in delivering high-performing, future-ready infrastructure.

“It’s always rewarding to see our partners acknowledged for their work, especially when it reflects the shared effort and expertise of our teams,” said Adam Ewers, Sales & Estimating Manager (NSW/ACT) at A.G. Coombs, who attended the event as a guest of Kerfoot.

A.G. Coombs is proud to have supported Kerfoot in this award-winning project and looks forward to continuing our successful collaboration on future initiatives.
