Commissioning management roles are becoming more common in Australian building construction projects, either driven by Green Star requirements, or the recognition of the value that an overarching independent “end-to-end” delivery management the role can bring.

Andrew Barr, Projects Engineer, A.G. Coombs Advisory will be presenting at the AIRAH Victorian Back to basics: Commissioning event on the 22nd of September 2016 at the Karstens Conference Centre, Melbourne, Victoria.

Andrew will discuss the unique opportunities the role usually provides to observe common issues and themes around why projects don’t proceed to plan (cause and effect), and how we can learn from this as an industry.

The presentation will also identify a number of commonly observed problems, and give valuable insights into how the delivery of building services projects can be improved with better planning, processes and communication.
