The 99.2 kW system made up of 320 photovoltaic panels is expected to produce on average around 380 kWh per day and over 138,700 kWh annually, which is approximately 50% of the building’s annual energy consumption. During working hours, this will significantly reduce our grid-connected load and electricity usage.
The greenhouse emissions avoided through our production of renewable solar energy is expected to be equivalent to those from:
62 average passenger vehicles driven for a year, or
900,000 kilometres driven by an average passenger vehicle, or
28 home’s electricity use for one year.
Implemented with support from the Commonwealth Government’s Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme the project substantially reduces environmental impact of A.G. Coombs operations.
A.G. Coombs are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our operations and to providing industry-leading technical and advisory services to assist our customers and business partners to do the same.
A comprehensive Environmental Program was implemented in 2004 and
A.G. Coombs have programs in the following areas:
The A.G. Coombs Group operates a fully documented environmental management system that is independently certified to Australian Standard AS/NZS ISO14001 Environmental Management Systems framework.
