A.G. Coombs Continues Partnership with CIBSE ANZ to Celebrate Young Engineering Talent

A.G. Coombs was pleased to once again join the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) ANZ as an event partner for the 2025 Young Engineers Awards, held on 24 October at Rydges Melbourne.

This annual celebration shines a spotlight on the creativity, commitment and technical excellence of emerging professionals in the building services engineering sector.

Championing Innovation & Collaboration

The Young Engineers Awards ceremony brought together students, graduates, mentors, and industry leaders for an evening of recognition and connection. This year’s theme, Building Performance, challenged participants to reimagine how building performance is understood and delivered, with video entries showcasing fresh perspectives and innovative ideas from the next generation of engineers.

The event featured a keynote address from Jack Blackwell, Zero Carbon Buildings Officer at the City of Melbourne, who shared insights on shaping a sustainable future for the municipality and the vital role young engineers play. Attendees also enjoyed opportunities to network, exchange ideas, and celebrate the achievements of peers and colleagues.
