The 107th Master Plumbers Gold Medal and Training Awards was held in Melbourne earlier this year.

The annual event sees 10 awards go to plumbing apprentices in Victoria who have excelled in their pre-apprenticeship or apprenticeship studies and job performance.
Fourth year plumbing apprentice Benjamin Cheng, from Scoresby in Victoria, was awarded the A.G. Coombs Award, given to apprentices who wish to continue specialised post-apprenticeship studies in mechanical services. The award was presented to Benjamin by Russell Telford, Managing Director at A.G. Coombs, and speaker, author and extreme performance guru, Mark “Squiz” Squirrell.
A.G. Coombs congratulates Benjamin on his achievement.
Over the years, A.G. Coombs has demonstrated an ongoing support of apprentices. Its 65-year history in apprenticeship training and development continues to be further strengthened with its own Apprenticeship Program, which helps to ensure that apprentices make the most of their training opportunities and become effective and capable tradespeople with a great future in the industry.
