Building Information modelling (BIM) continues to find traction in the Australian construction industry, just as it does worldwide.

A recent article in AIRAH’s Ecolibrium Magazine provides an update on this innovation, asking a panel of local and international industry leaders – including A.G. Coombs Group Engineering Manager, Warwick Stannus – what is the status of BIM in the industry, what are some of the barriers being confronted, where is BIM more likely to be used, has BIM been the game-changer as predicted, has it begun to deliver on its promises, and is there evidence of improved collaboration between firms through the use of BIM?

The article also addresses the benefits of BIM on building projects and within the HVAC&R industry, and whether or not the experts believe it will become a mandatory requirement.
