A reason to Smile! Queensland’s new Oral Health Centre

As a replacement for the University of Queensland’s heritage-listed School of Dentistry built in 1941, a new facility had to be a suitable successor both in design and technical excellence.

A recent article in AIRAH’s Ecolibrium Magazine takes you on the journey of how the award-winning $134 million Oral Health Centre came to be. The project incorporated the sophisticated use of Building Information Modelling tools to optimise the building’s design and construction, the use of leading-edge digital positioning technologies to significantly improve installation practices, and the application of in-the-field IT technologies to support both construction and ongoing into operation and facility management.
