The UN Celebrates Women in HVAC&R from Around the World

August 19, 2019

In 2018, the United Nations opened a campaign to call for women working in the HVAC&R industry around the world to share their stories. Since then, the stories have been compiled and showcased in a special publication called, ‘Women in the Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Industry: Personal Experiences and Achievements’.

Run by leading global environmental authority, United Nations Environment Programs – ‘UNEP OzonAction’ and ‘UN Women’, this first-time publication was compiled to raise awareness of the opportunities available to women and to highlight their experiences and successes within the industry. It comprises 107 submissions from 50 different countries worldwide.

Amongst the group, Australia is well represented with no less than seven contributors.
