Historically, natural gas has provided cheap and efficient domestic and heating hot water to support commercial office building HVAC systems and tenant amenities. But an industry-wide adoption of net zero emissions targets, particularly as they relate to Scope 1 (direct) and Scope 2 (operational) emissions, is now changing the landscape.
In the February-March 2023 edition of AIRAH’s Ecolibrium magazine, Sean McGowan reports on works completed by A.G. Coombs Advisory at 101 Collins street, utilising renewable energy to electrify gas-fired systems to remove Scope 1 emissions and improve energy efficiency.

In 2022 A.G. Coombs with Thermal Energy Solutions were recognised with the Integrated Clean Energy Award at the National Energy Efficiency Awards for the gas hot water plant conversion at 101 Collins Street.
