The A.G. Coombs Group proudly recognises the achievements of women across our organisation and reaffirms our commitment to advancing gender equity across the building services industry — not just on International Women’s Day, but every day.

The 2026 theme, Balance the Scales, calls on organisations to take deliberate, measurable action to address inequity and create environments where opportunity is defined by capability and ambition. In a sector historically shaped by gender imbalance, achieving meaningful change requires leadership, accountability and sustained effort.

Structured Commitment Through Our Diversity & Inclusion Action Plan

Our approach to gender equity is guided by the A.G. Coombs Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Action Plan — a structured framework designed to strengthen representation, opportunity and inclusion across the Group.

The D&I Action Plan prioritises:

Creating Pathways, Building Capability

Balancing the scales means more than increasing participation. It requires supporting sustainable pathways that enable women to enter, develop and lead at every stage of their careers.

Through initiatives such as our Advancement of Women Reference Group, the nationally delivered Advancement of Women Breakfast Series, inclusive onboarding frameworks; structured peer support programs and the
Build Your Future STEM Program, A.G. Coombs continues to remove barriers and strengthen capability across our workforce and industry, driving strength and high performance through diversity, inclusion and belonging. 

These initiatives are designed to increase visibility, build confidence and create meaningful career progression opportunities.
