Join us for a session on EC fans, hosted by AIRAH, presented by John Bourne from A.G. Coombs and Troy de Vries, Affil.AIRAH, from Fantech.
The use of Electronically Commutated (EC) motors to drive fans is becoming more common, what exactly are they? And what do you need to be aware of in design and installation?
John Bourne, Project Engineer, A.G. Coombs Advisory, will give some practical insights, based on experience on previous projects working as a contractor and consultant, including:
Applications for EC fans:
- Why and when to use them?
- what are the benefits/disadvantages?
- How can they be applied (AHUs, in-line, FCUs, etc.)?
Common traps and things to be aware of:
- Interfacing with the BMCS and wiring EC fans
- Commissioning
- Fire mode
- What you should be expecting from the supplier.
The seminar follows on from a very popular AIRAH EC Fans event presented by John in Brisbane in 2017.
The EC Fan session will be held in Victoria on Thursday, 17th May from 5.30pm, at the Telstra Business Centre, 242 Exhibition Street, Level 1, Conference Room 2.
