Melton’s Tabcorp Park recently hosted the 2015 Lyn McPherson Memorial Trotting Mares Sprint Series – ‘Breed for Speed’ Finals Night.

The annual Victorian Harness Racing event is Australasia’s premier night of international trotting, providing a mix of races, entertainment, networking and fundraising for the Women’s Cancer Foundation – Ovarian Cancer Institute. This year saw the sixth running of the Lyn McPherson Memorial Cup – named after Institute Patron and Director Duncan McPherson’s late wife, Lyn, who succumbed to ovarian cancer in 2010.
A.G. Coombs was pleased to support the Breed for Speed event. The company’s Managing Director, Russell Telford, was there on the night to present to the owners and connections of Eljaykay Phoenix, winner of Race 7 – “A.G. Coombs Need for Speed Prince Final (Group 1)”, with a well-earned trophy.
“Our congratulations to Duncan, his family and everybody that contributed to this valuable night”, he said. “Breed for Speed plays a great role in raising awareness and vital funds for ovarian cancer, and A.G. Coombs is very proud to be a supporter of this worthwhile event”.
