The feature explores how Murrungar is creating new pathways for Aboriginal participation in the building services sector
October 18, 2017
The Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating (AIRAH) and The International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA) are hosting this joint event in Melbourne on November 15–16, 2017.
The conference will provide a unique forum for the exchange of ideas and information between simulation researchers, simulation developers, building designers, and government legislators.
A.G. Coombs Group Engineering Manager, Warwick Stannus will present a joint paper with Neil Silke, Lead Engineer at DataCentreCFD, on ‘Advances in CFD modelling for data centre optimisation’, on day 1 of the conference.
The presentation will look at how the increasing reliance on CFD models by data centre designers now requires more stringent modelling of the data centre built environment, process infrastructure, racks and equipment fit-off. It will detail new CFD modelling techniques that leverage Revit models to respond to these increasing demands.
Warwick has been responsible for leading the A.G. Coombs Group’s lean design and construction, Building Information Modelling and off-site fabrication capabilities in recent years. The integration of these capabilities is rapidly evolving and has been successfully demonstrated in the delivery of some of Australia’s highest profile commercial, healthcare and data centre projects.
