A Proud Supporter of Vision Australia’s Carols by Candlelight 2024

December 9, 2024

This Christmas we invite you to support Vision Australia, by donating and watching the 87th Carols by Candlelight.

Each Christmas Eve, on behalf of Arts Centre Melbourne, A.G. Coombs technicians provide on-hand technical services, including general and safety lighting services, at Vision Australia’s Carols by Candlelight event, held at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne.

The Bowl is also a part of the A.G. Coombs Arts Centre Melbourne maintenance contract, where we have been providing services for over 20 years.

The annual Carols by Candlelight event usually attracts a crowd in excess of 10,000 people and well over 2 million TV viewers. For those in Melbourne, tune into Channel 9 on Christmas Eve for the live telecast of the Carols by Candlelight event.

Carols by Candlelight is the largest annual fundraiser for Vision Australia’s children’s services, with all proceeds from the event supporting services for families and children who are blind or low vision.

Funds raised from Carols by Candlelight support Vision Australia’s Life Ready Program, which is designed to encourage and support childhood development and the education of children and young people who are blind or have low vision, so they can form strong foundations for life, true meaningful participation and life-long employment.
