Following the success of the last FMA National Summit on Digital Transformation held in Melbourne in 2018, FMA will hold the Sydney event on September 4^th, 2019.

Today’s fast-paced digital transformation is challenging and changing Facility Management in many market sectors, and the FM Industry is responding. This summit aims to address:

• How Digital Transformation is changing FM
• The rapid pace of changing technologies and relevance to the FM Industry
• Upcoming challenges and opportunities for FM

The one-day Summit will showcase current best practice applications of digital technologies, provide insights into how these are planned, implemented and managed. It will also highlight new, developing and future technologies and their application and look at emerging issues.

Joining a number of industry experts A.G. Coombs Advisory’s Carl Agar will offer insights into the Virtual Buildings Information System – VBIS.

VBIS facilitates transfer of valuable information from digital construction processes to building owners and facility managers. Developed with significant assistance from the Victorian Government’s Future Industries Sector Growth Program the system is based on an open syntax standard that will be freely available to the market

Carl’s presentation will explain VBIS, how it can be applied to both green and brown field projects for the effective transfer of high value data to building owners and facility managers, and how it will made available to the industry.
