This presentation will describe and explain the Virtual Buildings Quality System, it’s alignment with BIMMEPAUS and how it can be applied to both green and brown field projects to ensure the effective transfer of high-value data to building owners and facility managers, and how it will be made available to industry.
The Thursday 21st February MelBIM event will be hosted at RMIT Swanston Academic Building (SAB), 445 Swanston St, Lecture Theatre 80.07.01 – Level 7. Arrival is from 5:15PM with presentations commencing at 5:45PM.
Carl is a senior consultant with A.G. Coombs Advisory responsible for the provision of advice in a range of areas including asset management, commissioning, building tuning and service management, and the adoption of leading-edge technologies to optimise building operation and maintenance. His experience also encompasses asset management in the IT industry implementing service and asset management systems. Since 2008 Carl has been a leading advocate of Building Information Modelling in Australia being instrumental in the early application of BIM on landmark projects and a founding member of a number of industry BIM initiatives.
The Virtual Buildings Quality System has been developed with significant assistance from the Victorian Government’s Future Industries Sector Growth Program.
MelBIM is a not for profit group based in Melbourne Australia that seeks to bring together the built environment community of Victoria, to share and exchange thoughts and knowledge relating to technology and innovation across the Architectural, Engineering, Construction and Facilities Management industry, with a particular focus on BIM.
