A.G. Coombs Service refrigeration apprentice, Ryan O’Connor, has won the 2014 First Year Apprentice of the Year – Alan Broadhead Award at this year’s Apprentice of the Year Awards, presented by the Box Hill Institute of TAFE.

Successful nominees were chosen from 35,000 enrolments, with Award winners recognised for their outstanding academic achievement, leadership qualities, industry service and commitment to learning.
This is Ryan’s second award from the Box Hill Institute. Last year, Ryan was presented with the 2013 First Year Outstanding Student of the Year Award for Refrigeration / Air Conditioning.
A.G. Coombs operates a structured and comprehensive Apprenticeship Program to ensure that its apprentices make the most of their training opportunities and become effective, capable and qualified tradespeople with the capacity for ongoing career and personal development.
A.G. Coombs congratulates Ryan on this well deserved award.
