A.G. Coombs attended the 10^th Annual Indigenous Students’ Awards Night hosted by the Indigenous Education and Research Centre at James Cook University on 9 September 2026. Held at The Ville in Townsville, the event recognised the academic achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from across the university.

The awards night brought together students, university representatives, community members and industry partners to celebrate academic excellence, resilience and commitment to educational success. Awards were presented to outstanding Indigenous students across a range of disciplines, including Higher Degree by Research programs, with the evening also recognising recipients of the prestigious Spirit Award.

A.G. Coombs delivers HVAC mechanical maintenance services to the James Cook University campus and values opportunities to support and participate in initiatives that celebrate achievement, inspire future leaders and strengthen connections with Indigenous communities.
