Project Scope
“NAB Dockands” represents leading edge corporate headquarters design and will provide the Bank with a flexible, efficient and “people friendly” workspace well into the 21st Century.
Featuring two large floor plate buildings each with internal atriums and verandas overlooking Victoria Harbour the complex will offer staff a choice of workplace settings. Wintergardens linking the buildings on the northern facade will provide the ability for the outside environment to blend into the more traditional office space. Trees, planters and motorized glazed louvers will come together to provide a natural environment for staff. A series of bridges will also form links between the buildings and cross central atria to facilitate movement of staff throughout the complex.
A significant feature of the construction is the installation of a state of the art air conditioning and ventilation system purpose designed and constructed to suit the innovative building design with its large floor plates and linkages into substantial naturally ventilated winter-garden spaces. This sophisticated system incorporates leading edge control systems for the provision of a flexible and healthy indoor environment throughout the interconnected spaces whilst maintaining high levels of energy efficiency and reliability.
