Walker Fire Protection wins Contractor Award in Premium Office Building

Today, Walker Fire Protection received the “Award of excellence for best performing Contractor”, in relation to works undertaken at Melbourne’s 530 Collins.

Presented by 530 Collins Management, the award recognises Walker Fire Protection’s high quality, compliance focussed delivery across its key capabilities in Service, Projects and Advisory.
530 Collins is one of Melbourne's largest premium office buildings at approximately 68,000sqm. Owned by the GPT Wholsesale Office Fund (GWOF), the building has adopted significant sustainability measures that aim to deliver a 5 star NABERS Energy rating in 2011.
Walker Fire Protection is regularly commended for its ability to provide leading independent technical advice and support across a building’s lifecycle, from advice to construction, right through to fire maintenance and management services. The team is into its third year of delivering fire detection and protection maintenance services to 530 Collins. They were nominated for their ability to deliver high quality proactive and reactive maintenance services, as well as their Advisory and Project installation work on various major projects undertaken within 530 Collins, such as the retail redevelopment and the refurbishment of over 35,000sqm of commercial office space that was vacated by ANZ.
