To achieve this vision, A.G. Coombs commits to:
- Managing our employees, contractors and workplaces to ensure we comply with all relevant safety laws, regulations, codes of practice and guidelines.
- Ensuring the management of health and safety is an integral part of all of our operations.
- Providing the necessary training, equipment and resources so that all work can be completed efficiently and safely.
- Establishing, and regularly reviewing, safety objectives and targets.
- Applying the key principles of hazard identification, risk assessment and control to all tasks.
We also have a strong commitment to consulting with our employees on health and safety issues that may arise.
All A.G. Coombs people, whatever their role, have the responsibility to ensure that work they undertake or supervise is carried out safely, without injury.
To verify our commitment, the Company has implemented the Victorian WorkCover Authority SafetyMAP program, as an audit tool to monitor our Health and Safety procedures and practices.
