The Employees

A significant contribution to the success of A.G. Coombs over the years has been the calibre, loyalty and stability of its Workforce.

At the peak of the growth in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s, the A.G. Coombs Group of Companies employed in excess of 500 Personnel.

As an indication of this stability, over 100 Employees to date have served 21 Years with the Company, many of those extending to over 30 and 40 Years.

In recognition of these achievements, an Honour Board recording the names of those Personnel takes pride of place in the Foyer of the Moorabbin Head Office.

Education, Training and Recruitment

A.G. Coombs is committed to the policy of promoting from within, which means we are also committed to providing Education and Training which is necessary to equip people for promotion. The Company has a Human Resources Coordinator, whose responsibilities include Personnel Development, Training and Recruitment.

Recruitment of Employees is generally through Trade Apprenticeships and Traineeships, which include Mechanical Plumbing, Refrigeration, Drafting and Fire Protection/Sprinkler Fitting.

Registration of Interest in obtaining Trade Apprenticeships should be forwarded to:
